In 2021, I was sitting in my living room working on a puzzle – alone – for what seemed like the first time in almost 15 years. After 11 years of homeschooling, a challenging move from state to state, upheaval in our careers, and finally getting settled into our new life – all of my kids chose to go back to public school. I used to think I wasn’t very good at life. I’d look around—outside my home (and sometimes inside) - and think the world was yucky. Yucky, rude people. Ugly buildings. Dirt. Political upheaval. Disappointment. Tragedy. But in the past few years, I’ve realized that actually… there’s an equal amount of yucky and  good. The world will inevitably throw both at you. And it’s our job, if we choose, to surround ourselves with the good - the beautiful, the happy, even the fun. Humans
