L.B. Neibaur Books June Newsletter - Behind the Scenes Highlights
Hello! Welcome to the June issue of my L.B. Neibaur Books, Studio Letters.
Summer has officially arrived in our home in the mountains, which means a full and lively house once again. We usually have an average of four extra teenagers rotating through at any given time during the summer months, and while it can be a bit chaotic, we actually love it.
Of course, summer also means 7 a.m. swim team has begun, and we’re all adjusting to the shift between school-year structure and summer rhythm. Most of my older kids are working as lifeguards and swim insructors, and the younger ones spend time between home, the pool, my mom’s house, and occasionally helping with a new baby horse that has become a favorite distraction.
Project News:
I’m either working on, wrapping up or beginning a few fantastic projects as we move into summer:
· Isobel’s Hidden Melody by Daryl Lott (in production soon)
· Ferret Run by Scott Freeman with Ellis Audiobooks (in the studio!)
· Shep and the King of Hearts by Stacy J. Ladyman (in the studio!)
· The Ruby Cradle by James L. Hill with Ellis Audiobooks (in production soon)
In addition, Love and the Divorce Lawyer by Barbara Newhart with Ellis Audiobooks will be debuting on Audible within the next month, so keep an eye out for its release.
Professional Update:
I recently completed Sean Pratt’s nonfiction narration coaching program, and it has been an incredible experience. I felt like I was in college again! In the best way! I’m very grateful for the training and guidance, and I feel it has added depth to both my fiction and nonfiction work. I’m looking forward to continuing coaching and new opportunities moving forward.
I’m also excited to share that I will be featured on the website GodSounds, which highlights Christian audiobook narrators and productions. I’m honored to be included and looking forward to connecting with that community.
